As Promised Here’s Today’s Fitness Update

I did it, y’all. I finally managed to squeeze in a normal workout (for me) and it felt great! My body is sore and my head hurts a little, but I haven’t felt this good in quite some time. I’m not exactly on track with regards to my diet goals yet, but I’ll provide a quick breakdown of the food/meals I ate today anyways. As promised here’s today’s fitness update.

Diet

  • Coffee @ 8 am – espresso with whipped cream
  • Breakfast @ 9 am – 2 eggs, over easy, with a buttered English muffin, and strawberry jam
    • I took (2) Orange Triad multivitamins and (2) omega-3 gel tablets after breakfast
  • Protein drink @ 2 pm – hydrolyzed whey protein
  • Lunch @ 3 pm – peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • Dinner @ 6:30 pm – Jimmy John’s Gargantuan sandwich
  • Nighttime Snack @ 10 pm – Planning on having another protein shake, this time casein

I worked out between 4:30-6 pm and did an old routine but added a bit of post-workout meditation. Today, I really wanted to push myself because I felt like I needed a little extra to get my motivation back up. See below for a brief overview of my workout this evening.

Exercise

  • Stretch (15 minutes)
  • Jump Rope (1 minute)
  • Heavy Punching Bag (5 minutes)
  • Flat Bench Press (lbs x reps) – 65 x 30 / 95 x 12 / 115 x 10 / 135 x 3
  • Incline Dumbbell Press – 20’s x 15 / 25’s x 12 / 30’s x 10 / 35’s x 8
  • Dumbbell Flyes – 15’s  x 15 / 20’s x 12 / 25’s x 8 / 25’s x 6
  • Straight Bar Curls – 45 x 15 / 50 x 12 / 55 x 10 / 60 x 8
  • Dumbbell Curls – 15 x 12 / 20 x 8 / 20 x 6 / 20 x 4
  • Decline Sit-ups – 3 sets x 10 reps each set
  • Hanging Leg Raises – 3 sets x 5 reps each set
  • Meditation (15 minutes)

That’s it! After finishing up I took a quick shower, then we all ate sandwiches because my lovely and wonderful girlfriend brought home Jimmy John’s.

You don’t have to tell me, I know I’m blessed.
