Skateboarding Legend Rodney Mullen Crushes It

Today, I needed a little boost of inspiration. Naturally, I found myself browsing through some random Vimeo clips, mostly in the animated department.  Nothing was hitting home until I found this poetic narrative based on the wise words of skateboarding legend Rodney Mullen.

It’s a short video pertaining to the topic of success, failure, expectations, and doing things your own way! If you’re in need of a little pick-me-up or have been feeling exceptionally unique (different, special, unusual, uncommon) lately, then this video is for you.

Antoni Sendra aka Podenco is the man behind this cinematic motivational. It was just what this creator needed to hear.

Bulletproof Thoughts

This video is the third installment in Antoni Sendra’s ‘Bulletproof Thoughts’ series. I’m really digging his style. His mixture of carefully selected visuals and thought-provoking dialect is as whimsical as it is beautiful.

I also find it refreshing that an artist, and a professional skateboarder, can break down such a tremendous mental barrier. And in just one minute and twenty-two seconds no less.

There will always be those in our lives who want to paint us into a pretty little picture, but that’s false. Life is messy. It’s fun, spontaneous, painful, gritty, unique, exhilarating, depressing, joyous, hurtful, loving, and so much more!

Bulletproof Thoughts - Podenco

We are all meant to live our own lives according to our own plans. Try not to forget that you’re the main character in your own story.

Allow yourself to be you. Do not fear to be different, the greats always are.
